FW: Hi from Hallam

Hi Ian,
No worries, good to hear from you and thanks very much for agreeing to help. I have included some questions below so if you could respond to these, that would be great, just a few sentences per answer would be perfect. Also, if you have any impressive images that we could use aswell - screenshots or publicity shots for games or pictures of you at work - that would be really useful. OK, here we go....

Did you return to Taiwan as soon as you graduated? what did you do when you returned and how long did it take for you to find a job you were happy with?
Yes, I remembered that I graduated in the middle of Oct. last year and came back to Taiwan on Nov. after having a nice trip in London and Spain. Then, I spent about just two weeks to interview game companies here and fortunately got many admission notices. Honestly. it is really helpful to get so many opportunities because I got this master degree(Entertainment software development) and new game techniques learning on our course.

Can you tell us where you currently work, what the company does and what you're currently involved in at work? (Feel free to include any info. on high profile projects that the company has been involved in - the Spectral Force series, Bounty Hounds etc.)
I am a programmer in the XPEC Entertainment now. This is a new(7 years) and middle size(200 employees) game company and delivers more than 10 titles in the worldwide market. You can see more information about us from website.(http://www.xpec.com.tw/en01/home01.php )

What has been your favorite project or activity at work so far and can you tell us something about it?
My currently work is the first big project from I was here. Because the businesses secret policy, I just can tell that the project we develop now is cooperated with one of top game publisher in U.S. and the game is depend on a new CG movie from Hollywood. If you are really interested, I suggest you can google some keywords about "Panda" and "Kungfu".

I hear (!?) you're involved in the development of a new game for Wii, can you tell us anything about it?
As I tell before, we develop the game included XBOX360, PS3, PS2 and Wii versions. Those different versions are having different control ways especially on the Wii console. It is very amusing to find and make new playable ways on Wii because the new controller,"Wiimote". We also have to merge codes on each consoles and make all of them playing well.

When will it be released?
2007 summer coming with th movie.

What are your plans for the future? A long successful career in Taiwan or thinking of moving around? Back to the UK?
Well, my plan now is at least staying in this company for 3 years in Taiwan or China. It's time to steel myself all kinds of developing game skills. After that, I might try to join some of biggest international game companies like EA or Activation. Working and traveling around the world is always my dream and of course it is a nice place to stay and work in UK.

What do you miss most about the UK and Hallam University?
My nice classmates and friends in sheffield are hard to forget and some of UK city trips might be the best memory in my life.

Are you involved in the university's alumni association?
Not yet, but I will like to join it.
